Starting in 2026, the Golden State International Wushu Championships — the largest Wushu event in the United States and successfully held for seventeen editions — will officially be upgraded to the World Wushu Open Championships (WWOC). This transformation marks a significant innovation in the global promotion of Wushu and signals a new era for the tournament in terms of scale, level, and international influence.

WTSF has successfully hosted multiple editions of the Taiji Science Forum and the World Intangible Cultural Heritage Taiji Masters Exhibition, laying a strong foundation for international academic exchange. Building on this success, WTSF will launch the World Congress on Sports and Health Sciences in 2026 to further promote scientific development in Taiji, Qigong, and wellness practices.

WTSF, in collaboration with its global association network and the World Wushu Open Championships (WWOC) platform, has launched the Youth Wushu Elite Scholarship Program. Outstanding youth athletes are selected through the WWOC All-Around Championship to form the WWOC World Champions Elite Team, receiving sponsorship to support their professional training, academic development, leadership growth, and active participation in university-level Taiji and Wushu clubs.
