This premier 2- to 3-day international academic conference brings together scientists, clinicians, educators, and mind-body health practitioners from around the world to explore the physiological mechanisms and integrative medical potential of Tai Chi and Qigong. The event aims to foster a deeper integration of traditional wisdom and modern scientific approaches.
The conference is hosted by the Harvard Medical School Osher Center for Integrative Medicine and will be held at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. With state-of-the-art facilities and a prime location at the intersection of Harvard University and Boston’s culturally rich Fenway neighborhood, the center offers an ideal academic environment for high-quality presentations and collaborative research.

In addition to the main conference, an invitation-only half-day gathering will be held on May 3, 2025, following the main event. This Leadership Network Forum is intended for key leaders shaping the field of TCQ research, implementation, and global strategies. A select group of participants will be invited to attend. We are seeking institutional or organizational leaders with a strong track record in TCQ research to apply for participation in this forum.
The goals of the Leadership Network Forum are to:
Discuss the structure and development of an international academic network in TCQ;
Identify potential collaborative opportunities and initiatives for the network;
Explore funding opportunities for the research network.
While the primary focus is on research programs, we also welcome engagement from leaders involved in education and dissemination. If selected, your institution/organization may send up to three delegates, one of whom will present on your TCQ-related programs during the forum.
To apply for delegate participation and request an official invitation for your institution/organization, please contact Event Ambassador Dr. Shudong Li (Shudong.Li@wtsf.org) with the following information:
Your name
The institution or organization you represent
