The World Taiji Science (WTSF) is dedicated to promoting the global development and exchange of Tai Chi, Qigong, and integrative health practices. Through the International Tai Chi and Integrative Health Conference (ITIC) and related outreach programs, WTSF brings together Tai Chi masters, health professionals, educators, and leaders from around the world.

ITIC events include international conferences, leadership summits, workshops, master demonstrations, and public engagement activities, creating an open and professional platform that supports the integration of traditional mind-body practices with modern health and wellness approaches.

WTSF serves as a co-host of the conference, contributing to program development and collaborative coordination, and providing academic, logistical, and related support for the conference.

Shudong Li, PhD

President of the World Taiji Science Federation and Executive Chairman of the World Wushu Open Championships, he also serves as a member of the Kung Fu Committee of the International Wushu Federation and as a Commissioner of the California Acupuncture Board. A globally recognized Chen-style Tai Chi master, he is a pioneer of Medical Taiji education and a leading advocate for integrating traditional martial arts with modern scientific research.

Victor Henderson, MD, MS

He is a professor of Epidemiology & Population Health and Neurology at Stanford University, specializing in neuroepidemiology, cognitive aging, and dementia. His research focuses on risk factors and interventions for neurodegenerative disease. He directs the NIH Stanford Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and co-directs the master’s program in Epidemiology & Clinical Research, and is an Honorary Skou Professor at Aarhus University.

She is a Stanford adjunct professor, board-certified clinical molecular geneticist, and biotech entrepreneur. Associate Professor at Zhejiang International Studies University and Xixi Scholar, she is a Taijiquan all-around champion of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and consecutive National Games. Her work spans climate dynamics, extreme weather, decision-making under deep uncertainty, and philosophy of science. She has published 190+ papers, authored textbooks, leads a climate applications network, advises policymakers, and bridges climate science, policy, and contemplative practice.

A lifelong martial artist with over 20 years of training, he is a board member of USAWKF, a certified Tai Chi master, international-level judge, and national Wushu team leader and coach who has participated in official World Wushu Championships. An award-winning Wushu and Qigong champion, he has taught Tai Chi at Stanford University and Santa Rosa Junior College and is the founder of Wu Academy.

Dr. Eric Tao is a full professor at California State University Monterey Bay, and CEO of the Silicon Valley Research Institute. He served as the president of the University of East-West Medicine from 2018 to 2022. A UC Irvine Ph.D., he specializes in AI, HealthTech, and entrepreneurship. He has led multiple universities and contributes significantly to tech leadership in Silicon Valley and globally.

Dr. Montalvo is a Research Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine at Stanford University. His work combines biomechanics, exercise physiology, and multi-omics to study human performance.
